I have attended Catholic Schools from Corpus Christi Grade School in Milwaukee to Divine Savior Holy Angels High School to Cardinal Stritch University where I received my degree in Primary/Special Education. I received my Master’s Degree in Special Education from Stritch as well. I taught at St. Coletta School, directed the summer respite camp program, opened a state licensed day care/preschool and worked as Assistant Principal before ”retiring” in 1990 when our son, Joe, was born. Annie joined us in 1991. Joe is in his fifth year of his PhD program in Electrical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame after receiving his Bachelors Degree from the U of M in Materials Science. Annie is a graduate of the U of M; majored in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences - and received her Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders at UW-Whitewater. She is currently a Speech Pathologist at Luther Elementary School in Fort Atkinson and also works at Fort Health Care.
I taught Second Grade at SJB for 13 years before becoming Principal three years ago. Prior to that, I had been a substitute teacher and parent volunteer here, co-chairing Home and School for a number of years. I am excited to return to the classroom as the 3rd grade teacher! In my years as principal, I realized that I miss the classroom and the direct contact with the kids!
In partnership, we own Sullivan Veterinary Service where my husband, Rick, has been a vet since 1983. Rick faced a life-altering illness in 2015, when our faith and the prayers of others brought him through. We live in Helenville. In 2006, I was awarded a Herb Kohl Fellowship Award.
