Our youth ministry program seeks to support the role of the St. John the Baptist Catholic School and religious education programs of St. John the Baptist and St. Lawrence parishes.

Youth ministry at St. John the Baptist seeks to…

+    Help young people feel like a valued part of the church

+    Guide youth in taking an active role in justice and service issues and help them feel valued in the life of the church and civic community.

+    Provide youth with guidance as they face personal, spiritual, and vocational decisions.

+    Foster spiritual growth through liturgies and prayer experiences.

+    Involve youth in leadership.

+    Help youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

St. John’s Youth Group is called the Powerhouse 

(a HOUSE with the POWER of GOD, Acts 1:8)

Powerhouse is open to students in grades 6-12 and happens every Monday in the teacher’s lounge of school from 7-8 pm.

Youth group is more than a great time...it's meeting Jesus Christ in a cool place with friends that have the same in mind.
