Baptism:
Parental instruction is required. Please contact parish office for arrangements and class registration.
First Reconciliation:
A child's first reconciliation usually happens during their 2nd grade year. This sacrament signifies our penance and God's forgiveness in the child's life.
First Eucharist:
Acceptance of the first bread and wine, body and blood, is a crucial step to growing in the Catholic faith. This sacrament happens during the child's second grade year.
Confirmation:
Confirmation prep is open to juniors at the mid-way point during their 11th grade religious ed. year. Students will meet as a large group for six weeks and celebrate the sacrament in the spring.
The big question that all Confirmation candidates are asking is, “What is Confirmation?” Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments, the third Sacrament of Initiation in the Roman Catholic Church. (Baptism is the first Sacrament of Initiation and Eucharist is the second.) A sacrament is a sign of God’s love and presence in our lives. Sacraments give sanctifying grace – the free gift of God’s love – God’s life. Confirmation establishes the beginning, NOT the end or “graduation,” of a life of full participation and responsibility in the Church.

RCIA Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults:
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is designed to guide adults into learning and understanding the Catholic Faith. It is intended to be a journey for those who would like to be initiated into the Catholic Church, but
-
have never been baptized
-
were baptized of a different faith and wish to take communion in the Catholic Church
-
were baptized as a Catholic but did not receive other sacraments of the church
The use of scripture, community building, prayer, and liturgy guides the adult to fully becoming active in the Catholic faith.
