Parish Council

The Pastoral Council are representative consultative bodies whose purpose is to share the administrative and ministerial responsibilities with the Pastor. The duties of the Pastor are most notably concerned with the sacramental and catechetical care of of his parishioners, but his ministry extends beyond that to responsibilities for the parish finances, building maintenance, parish programs, even the entire parish mission. The councils are to cooperate with the Pastor in these areas.

Functions of the Parish Council

  • The function of the Pastoral Council is to act as consultors to the Pastor on matters of pastoral planning, policy formulating, and assisting with the administration of temporal good.
  • The Pastoral Council is always and everywhere to promote the mission of the Parish based on the mission of Christ.
  • The Pastoral Council is to assume the responsibilities for the ongoing renewal of the parish life in faith.
  • The Parish Council is to occupy themselves primarily with pastoral planning through developing parish goals and plans for implementation of these goals.

Meetings are on the first Tuesday of most months at 7:00pm in the Parish Center.
